Pride (prīd)(n.): the state or feeling of being proud.

This weekend San Diegans are celebrating individuality with the San Diego Gay Pride Festival which kicked off with a very spirited parade through Hillcrest, a community within San Diego that is known for it's open mindedness and support of the GLBT community. Guy and I along with two of our friends, Carly and Damien, went out to the parade to show our support for equal rights for everyone, gay, straight or otherwise. I can only hope that my generation is the beginning of an era full of tolerance, something I will surely instill in any future children Guy and I may produce and/or adopt. Here are some highlight photos!

Californians, remember to Vote NO on Prop 8 to keep marriage legal for everyone regardless of their sexual orientation!

I think tolerance is so important! Our laws here in Canada are way more lax then down there but there is still bickering between support and non support groups.
I too hope that our generation makes a difference, love and acceptance, we have no rights to judge.
Great post!

You go, girl! My sis and her family live in CA, so I'll pass your message along to her. BTW, Aunt Julie needs help planning the rehearsal dinner for her son's wedding, and needs your help. Plus, she's giving away a complete set of Pop'rs in the bargain, starting today-the best way to encourage your family to Eat Their Veggies! Please drop in sometime and check it out!
